The leaders of the Momentum Movement (MM) gave an interview to the online news site 444.hu last Wednesday. The movement collects signatures to hold a referendum against the Olympics in Budapest. In the interview the heads of the movement said that since they apparently cut the government to the quick by attacking them to hold Olympics in Hungary, the movement leaders are prepared for the prospective negative campaign by the ruling party's (Fidesz) media.
Just one single day after the interview went online the negative campaign soon started. On Thursday a blog named Pesti Srácok, financed by the Fidesz wrote about the movement based on informations given by a former member of MM that they were supported by psychiatrist Mrs. Éva Haris who was connected to the former administration of Mr. Bajnai and to Hungarian socialists, too. According to the government friendly blog it is clear that the fallen political left-wing is behind the Momentum Movement because they use the same left-wing liberal party clichés, that the health system and the educational system is in ruins and that we were overtaken by the regional countries and that 4 million Hungarians lived at the subsistence wage.
