Former Fidesz youth leader Mr. Áron Veress was caught by the police while dealing with counterfeit euro notes at Keleti railway station in Budapest in February 2015.
The former Fidesz youth head tried to conduct business with a man with a fake 100 Euro note. After being surrounded he tried to break away from the policemen. The police executed a search warrant at his apartment and they found fake money in the amount of EUR 30.000. Mr. Veress was arrested and charged with counterfeiting. The Central District Court of Pest sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison. The final judgment was made on 23th November 2016. The accused didn't appeal against the judgment, index.hu wrote.
