The Hungarian left-wing oppositions cooperation process seems tobe failing even before the curtain could rise. Both the socialists (MSZP) and the Democratic Coalition (DK) are worried about the head of Dialogue Party (common Hungarian abbreviation PM) Mr. Gergely Karácsony to act like a catalyst of the process.
Their problem is that Mr. Karácsony is heading a party which is hardly measurable. Both MSZP and DK are worried about Mr. Karácsony's statement about the corrupt left-wing politicians last Sunday. The opposition talks which were planned to be held this week are still problematic because of defining the topics and the list of participants. The leader of MSZP Mr. Gyula Molnár wouldn't start talks about primary elections and personnel issues.
