Prosecutor drops 'terrorism' probe into former PM Ferenc Gyurcsány

Prosecutors in Debrecen have dropped another probe into former Socialist PM Ferenc Gyurcsány, Democratic Coalition (DK) reported on its Facebook page on Monday. A private citizens' complaint had alleged Gyurcsány and police leaders employed terror tactics during crowd control manoeuvres amid anti-government riots in Budapest in 2006. Investigating prosecutors concluded in an explanation running to 20 pages that there was no evidence of a crime having been committed. "After Sukoró [alleged illegal land swap] and the dishonest plagiarism case, another allegation collapses," the DK wrote.
